Things people ask before they apply.
Do I need any tech or design experience?
No. Week one starts with how the web actually works — in plain English, with no assumed knowledge. Becky came to me as a complete beginner and built a web design agency. If you can use a laptop and you're willing to learn, you have everything you need.
How much time do I need each week?
The live training session is one hour per week, plus the group Q&A call. Beyond that, how much you put in is up to you. Evolve is designed to work around a full life — whether you're still in a job, raising children, or both.
What if I can't make the live sessions?
Every session is recorded and available to watch back at any time. You won't fall behind because of a scheduling conflict.
When will I be ready to take on paid clients?
By the end of Month 2 you'll have your services packaged and your pricing set. By Month 3 you'll have the client skills to handle a real project professionally. Most students are ready for their first paying client during or just after Month 3.
What tech do I need?
A laptop and a reliable internet connection. WordPress is free and we'll cover exactly which tools are worth investing in — and which aren't. You won't be asked to buy anything unnecessary.
Why only five students per month?
Because this is a mentorship, not a course. Five students means everyone gets real attention, real feedback, and a mentor who actually knows where they're at. I'd rather work with fewer people properly than more people passively.
What is the Evolve Studio Collective?
It's the graduates-only community that continues after the four months of training. You get two months free as part of Evolve — with weekly Q&A calls, peer support, and a space to bring real work for real feedback. After that you can continue as a paid member.
